Project Manager
Job Descriptions: Develop and deliver a specific programme of work, on time, to budget and to other agreed success criteria within corporate guidelines including the client requirements. Work with the client to establish an effective relationship supporting effective delivery, performance measurement and management of Change. This should encompass where appropriate communications with outside bodies. Develop and manage the Project team (including external suppliers), monitoring adequate resources available to deliver a flexible, competent, skilled and effective workforce at all times. Achieve the programme outturn and margins as agreed with the Principal Project Manager. Develop an appropriate strategy for the development and delivery of the Project work scope. Identify priority opportunities within the programme and lead promotion and sharing of best practice between project team. Undertake accident investigation when remitted by the relevant designated competent person Identify and implement quality and efficiency improvement initiatives. Manage and comply with company procedures to provide appropriate resources, communication strategies, training, competency and evaluate fitness of staff to safely deliver their accountabilities. Act upon and discharge of, all safety, timeline, quality and specification obligations for projects as directed. Essential Able to lead a team and motivate team members. Relevant experience in the successful management of major programmes of work in the rail industries. Strong commercial and negotiation skills. Knowledge of the principles of project processes and procedures. Knowledge of the principles of Health & Safety legislation, environmental and best practice. Construction design management competence Project safety management experience Accident investigation experience. Qualifications : Minimum 10 years of engineering experience with a recognized degree in either Civil/Mechanical/Railway Engineering or Tier 2 Accreditation (Professional Project Manager) by Society of Project Managers (SPM). At least 8 years of experience in managing design and construction teams for railway projects of similar scale.
Project Planner
Job Description: Ability to understand and convert client’s Project requirements into the required plan to be executed by the project team Prepare and update Project programming plan. Experience in Project planning, preferably in the railway industry Familiarity in the use of Risk and Product Management Software. Good knowledge of Project management processes & practices. Expertise in Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Auto CAD and Microsoft office. Experience in Integrating Primavera Enterprise products with Financial Systems Experience in trouble shooting the problems Good Project management skills. Planning and configuration to suit Project requirements. Ability to plan according to the changing situations, based on client request Prepared to make site visits when required Requirements Minimum diploma or higher in any engineering field At least 2 years of experience in planning construction projects, preferably in the railway industry Good analytical skills Good communication skills Good problem solving skills Should be a team player
Safety Coordinator
Job Description: Conduct safety inspections related to railway to ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with MOM safety requirements. Ensuring all workers comply with MOM requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections of material tools, worksites etc Preparation of monthly WSH reports, Risk Assessment, Method statement, permit to work statistics. Supervise, complete, ensure and attend to all documentation/ permit/ license as necessary related to workplace, safety, health and environmental. Conduct daily toolbox meeting. Accident investigations and updating statistics. Conduct safety training for employees Report to the WSHO on all matters Assist to handle all incidents at site. Requirements & Qualifications Must have certificate for Workplace safety & Health coordinator With at least 2 years relevant experience in LTA – SMRT project Good knowledge of WSH act and other WSH related Must possess BCSS (Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course) Able to supervise and lead a team of people Required to work night shift as required (Engineering hours)
Inventory Controller (Trackwork)
Job Description: Manage Inventory Management System (Key fields) to record inventory – incoming/outgoing goods Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments of physical parts against shipping documents and ensure accuracy Update daily and timely on all incoming/ outgoing stock accurately Report immediately to TSA Manager Timely update to internal departments/customs with order reports. Maintain and update the Inventory Management Reports, and generate inventory reports Conduct physical cycle count and stock take – monthly/quarterly/yearly Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Meticulous, proactive, independent, and responsible individual. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned *Salary commensurate with experience Qualifications: At least 2 years working experience in Inventory Preferably with Construction experiences Rail experience with LTA project in Singapore would be an advantage Personal Attributes: Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadline
Handback Engineer
Job Description: Supervise, inspect and certify that the completed/renewed track is fit for purpose upon completion of work. Attend the Operator’s toolbox meeting and confirm that the track is safe for commencement of train operation after each work shift in accordance with the operator’s procedures and standards. Undertake duties as Track Handback Engineer wherever required or instructed by Company. Conduct information briefing on work method to teams and ensure SWP is followed during the work Confirming works is carried out to technical standards Provide appropriate briefing material, to ensure and reinforce compliance with Company’s and client’s Standards, for promulgation to the workforce. To aid or conduct accident, incident and near miss investigations and participate in investigation reviews and provide feedback to affected parties when called upon so. Review and Sign-off of Toolbox talks relevant to your role. Report regularly on the Project and company’s technical compliance and risk assessment activities under your control or supervision. To enforce the wearing of all relevant PPE by all employees where mandated by the relevant safety system. Attendance or organisation of attendance at relevant key customer Meetings and Reviews Experience of practical railway engineering including standards, design, construction, maintenance and development Proven technical, engineering experience and be conversant with all relevant rules, regulations, codes of practice and Company Standards Working knowledge and understanding of competence requirements for technical engineering railway safety critical works and works under possession Requirements: Minimum 5 years experiences as Handback Engineer Personal Track Safety Certificate or similar Recognised Handback Engineer Certificate from UK or similar
