Mr. Krishna, now formally, Dato Sri Krishna

The CEO and Chairman of GATES PCM Construction Ltd, Dato Sri Krishna was officially conferred his new title of ‘Dato Sri’ on the 11th of December 2015 in Kuala Lumpur in a special ceremony.

The founder of GATES PCM Construction Ltd was endowed with the prestigious title by the Sultan of Pahang, Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang, at the Istana of the Sultan in Kuala Lumpur.

The ‘Dato Sri’ title is endowed by the rulers of the states in Malaysia to recognise and celebrate those that have contributed greatly to the country or the state in their area of expertise and specialisation.

The conferring of this title to Dato Sri Krishna is indeed an immense honour for himself and the GATES family, considering the fact that it is more difficult for a non-Malaysian to be conferred with this title. It is also telling of Dato Sri Krishna’s work in Malaysia and the reach of the GATES PCM name within the country.

Director of GATES PCM Construction Ltd, Mr. Vignesh expressed: “This is indeed a great honour for Mr. Krishna who has achieved much throughout his entrepreneurial career, not only in Singapore but also Malaysia. And this is no doubt a proof and recognition of those achievements.”

A small contingent of 10 GATES Family members, including the directors of GATES PCM Construction Ltd, GATES PCM Construction (M) Sdn. Bhd., GATES PCM Integrated Services Pte Ltd and GATES PCM Environment Pte Ltd went along with Dato Sri Krishna to Kuala Lumpur to observe the solemn yet grand ceremony.

A member of this contingent, Director of GATES PCM Construction Ltd, Mr. Sivanessan, said, “This achievement has been the crowning glory of a year of accomplishment for Mr. Krishna, who has not only landed significant projects locally and overseas and started foreign subsidiaries in the GATES PCM name, but also won the highest honour for an entrepreneur in Singapore, having been selected as the Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015. Today, he has achieved yet another accreditation that not only speaks volumes of his professional prowess, but also about the gem of a human that he is.”
